With a view to study the Goods and Services tax (GST) system of Australia, the empowered committee of state finance ministers is on a weeklong trip to Australia to study the implementation of tax there.
While sharing the information, Haryana finance minister Abhimanyu said that Australia has implemented the GST system in an effective manner.However there are certain deficiencies, which are now been corrected.He said that by learning from Australia, the GST can be implemented without deficiencies.
He said the committee is understanding the GST system of Australia to find out the benefits the country received from the system, so that India could also get similar benefits.
